Musi Academy Policies

Small Group Lesson Studio Policy

Payment

Students are paying to reserve the studio's time, much like a gym membership. There are no refunds for missed lessons. Payment for however many lessons will take place in that month is due on the 1st of the month.

Group size

Small Group Lessons will be limited to six students.

Make-up lessons

If a student is absent from a lesson, they may attend a make-up lesson if it is not full. Make-up lessons must be scheduled in advance.

Vacations

Please inform the studio of any travel plans at least two weeks in advance. If you will be gone for more than two weeks, you may be able to freeze your lessons for a fee.

Preparedness

In-person students must arrive 10 minutes early to unpack and tune, depending on the instrument. Students studying virtually should arrive on time with their instrument tuned and all materials at hand. It is crucial the student should attend the opening activity.

Practice Expectations

Students are expected to practice regularly. If a student is not practicing regularly, the teacher and parent will work together to help the student develop a practice routine. If a student is still not practicing after parent and teacher intervention, we may ask to pause lessons until such time they can practice.

Individual Lessons

Students are to take group lessons until they have met a certain curriculum level. Individual lessons are available after getting to an established milestone in the method for that instrument.

Students are expected to treat their fellow students, their teachers, the staff, and the studio with respect.
